(Niagara Falls, ON) June 24, 2025 – Get ready for a night of genre-defying soundscapes as BADBADNOTGOOD takes the stage at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino on October 16! Originating from Toronto, Ontario, the trio is celebrated for their explosive fusion of jazz, hip-hop, and experimental soul—bringing their unmistakable sound and high-voltage live energy to the stage like no one else. Tickets for BADBADNOTGOOD go on sale Friday, June 27 at 10am through ticketmaster.ca.

“BADBADNOTGOOD’s innovative sound and style bring something truly unique to our entertainment lineup. We can’t wait to welcome them to the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino this fall,” said Cathy Price, Vice President of Marketing and Resort Operations at Niagara Casinos.

BADBADNOTGOOD (BBNG) was formed in 2010 by three members of the Humber College jazz program in Toronto. Featuring Chester Hansen on bass, Alexander Sowinski on drums and sampler, and Matthew Tavares on keyboards, the trio got their start posting unique covers of their hip hop idols on YouTube. BBNG’s jazz tribute to LA hip hop collective Odd Future caught the eye of founding member Tyler the Creator, who gave the group a boost by helping the video go viral. Their debut album BBNG was released on Bandcamp in 2011, earning critical praise with unique covers of songs by A Tribe Called Quest, Waka Flocka Flame, and Odd Future.

Sophomore album BBNG2 earned similar acclaim the following year for its imaginative covers of tracks by Kanye West, James Blake, and Feist. In addition to acting as the house band at Coachella in 2012, BBNG has opened for jazz legend Roy Ayers, collaborated with Earl Sweatshirt, and headlined shows around the country.

Saxophonist Leland Whitty, a frequent collaborator of the group, joined the band on January 1, 2016. In April, BBNG took part in the Coachella Music Festival, making their first official appearance there. In October 2019, Matthew Tavares announced his full-time departure from the band but continues to collaborate with the group as a songwriter and contributor to side projects.

BBNG kicked off 2024 with unstoppable creative momentum, returning to the spotlight following a wave of high-profile collaborations with artists like Daniel Caesar, Charlotte Day Wilson, Reggie, Baby Rose, Arthur Verocai, and hardcore icons Turnstile—further cementing their reputation as one of music’s most versatile and sought-after acts. In February 2024, the trio embarked on an intensive, week-long recording session at Valentine Studios in Los Angeles. The result was Mid Spiral, a three-part suite—Chaos, Order, and Growth—released over three consecutive weeks (May 15, 22, and 29, 2024). BADBADNOTGOOD are five-time Grammy nominees and two-time winners, including a 2021 win as producers on the Best Progressive R&B Album, It Is What It Is.

The band’s unique post-bop sound incorporates live drums, synthesizers, and programmed beats, and it all comes together perfectly at their electrifying live shows. Whether they’re improvising on the fly or building up layers of texture on the moody single “CS60”, their unmatched musicianship and passion deliver a captivating live experience, making their upcoming October performance at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino one not to miss.
