(Niagara Falls, ON) – February 2, 2018 – Niagara Casinos will host its annual World Poker Tour® Fallsview Poker Classic event, with the CDN $5,000 Main Event taking place February 10-12, 2018. The total prize pool for the World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic event, including satellites, is estimated at $5 million. This year’s event consists of a series of satellite tournaments, two super satellite tournaments, one shootout tournament, two individual tournament events and one World Poker Tour (WPT®) main event.
“The World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic event is our biggest poker event of the year and draws players from far and wide to test their skills and try their luck at becoming a poker champion,” said Richard Taylor, president, Niagara Casinos. “We’re excited for this year’s event.”
From February 2-4, satellites will be hosted at Fallsview Casino’s grand hall, and all tournament events will be held at Fallsview’s grand hall from February 5-12.
This year’s event marks the fifth WPT Fallsview Poker Classic event. Last year’s CDN $5,000 Main Event saw 489 participants compete for a $2.2 million prize pool, with Darren Elias of New Jersey taking home the top prize of CDN $429,384. The prize pool for all tournament events was CDN $5.4 million.
Registration and Information
Fallsview Casino Resort offers several methods for players to register and learn additional information about the World Poker Tour® Fallsview Poker Classic events. Players can enter the tournament at Fallsview Casino’s or Casino Niagara’s Players Advantage Club booths, at Fallsview’s cage two, Casino Niagara’s cage nine, or by calling the casinos’ call centre at 1-888-325-5788. Players registering through the Players Advantage Club booths or call centre must pay using Mastercard or Visa.
