FALLSVIEW FIRST CASINO IN ONTARIO TO INTRODUCE PAI GOW TILES WITH FIRE & ICE SIDE WAGER

(Niagara Falls, ON) January 15, 2020 – Fallsview Casino Resort is the first casino in Ontario to introduce Pai Gow Tiles with a Fire & Ice side wager.

Pai Gow is an ancient Chinese game that when translated literally means “making nines.” The game uses 32 tiles which form the first 16 Ranking Pairs. The object of Pai Gow Tiles is to take four tiles and form two “hands” that either total as close to nine as possible or form one of the 20 Ranking Pairs. The Fire & Ice side wager is an optional wager which wins if all the dots on a player’s four tiles are the same colour. All red pays 1000 to 1 and all white pays 35 to 1.

Held in November, this competition had more than 100 associates participating in both the Main Event and the Skilled Games Competition. The competition was broken down into various rounds where dealers showed off their skills in creating a best-in-class table games experience as they competed for the 2019 Title of All Star Dealer.

Although other casinos have implemented live dealer electronic table games, Niagara Casinos is the first to successfully connect it to more than one property.
