“We are thrilled to welcome Chubby Checker back to the Avalon Theatre. His iconic music, timeless energy and ability to get audiences on their feet have made him a fan favourite for generations. This will be a show filled with great memories, classic hits and plenty of opportunities to dance and sing along,” says Cathy Price, Vice President of Marketing & Resort Operations.
Chubby Checker isn’t just an entertainer; he’s a true icon. Best known for unleashing “The Twist” upon the world, the only song to top the charts in two separate years, Chubby ignited a dance revolution. But “The Twist” is only the beginning. He introduced fans to hits like “The Fly,” “The Pony,” “The Shake,” and “The Hucklebuck.” Recognized with induction into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the 2026 IEBA Hall of Fame, Checker’s infectious energy and innovative moves continue to inspire generations.
