(Niagara Falls, ON) August 13, 2024 – Chubby Checker will have Fallsview Casino Resort doing the twist on March 5-6, 2025 at the Avalon Theatre. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 16 at 10:00am through ticketmaster.ca.
“The legendary Chubby Checker is back at the Avalon Theatre bringing his iconic hits and dance moves,” says Cathy Price, Vice President of Marketing at Niagara Casinos. “This is one show we know will leave a lasting impression on the fans.”
Chubby Checker is an entertainment industry icon best known for popularizing “The Twist”, the number one song of all time and the only song to hit the number one position twice in two different years. It was voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. Chubby also invented and popularized many other dances, including The Fly, The Pony, The Shake and The Hucklebuck. All of them exist in some form today on the dance floor, but it’s the legacy of “The Twist” that endures and secures Chubby’s place in history.
