(Niagara Falls, ON) May 8, 2018 – Fallsview Casino Resort announces its upcoming entertainment lineup for August, featuring great stand-up comedians, stage shows and classic rock bands.
August kicks off with a one-night-only performance from AMY SCHUMER AND FRIENDS, featuring Emmy Award-winning stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer. Named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2015, Schumer is known for her sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer, roles in movies such as Trainwreck and Snatched, as well as numerous stand-up specials.
The laughs continue August 3 and 4 with performances from acclaimed ventriloquist Jeff Dunham. Named “one of the most powerful entertainers” by Forbes Magazine, Dunham brings his Passively Aggressive Tour to Fallsview for what is sure to be a fun-filled evening with Dunham’s cast of characters.
From August 9 to 17, Fallsview presents Cruisin’ Classics, a live theatre show set in a diner and filled with great 1950s songs from legends including Bill Haley and Brenda Lee.
On August 18, legendary ‘70s mainstay WAR takes the stage. One of the most influential bands in the history of popular music, WAR transcended ‘70s racial and cultural barriers by fusing elements of rock, funk, jazz, Latin, rhythm and blues, and reggae.
On August 24, Fallsview welcomes new wave and punk pioneers, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Blondie. With hits including Heart of Glass, One Way or Another, Call Me, and more, Blondie is sure to deliver a fantastic show.
August closes strong with Fallsview’s songwriters’ series featuring Howie Day, Italian big-band show Notte Italiana, and two performances from legendary pop vocal group The 5th Dimension.
