(Niagara Falls, ON) November 22, 2017 – Niagara Casinos presented a $225,252 donation to the United Way of Niagara Falls and Greater Fort Erie at their campaign wrap up, hosted by The Keg Steakhouse, this afternoon.
United Way’s #WeArePossibility slogan reigns true as Niagara Casinos’ contribution represents the single largest donation in the region with $125,252 raised through their annual workplace campaign combined with a $100,000 community gift.
“This is our community, what we do here matters and creates a direct positive impact in our own backyard,” stated Richard Taylor, President of Niagara Casinos. “Our workplace values allow us to take teamwork and collaboration to a whole new place; I am so proud of what our 4,000 associates have accomplished together again this year.”
Championed by an enthusiastic Campaign Committee and a diverse team of associate volunteers, this year’s workplace fundraising activities included various sports tournaments such as slow pitch, volleyball, bowling, golf, darts and euchre competitions. Additionally, in what has become a tradition at Niagara Casinos, the month of October kicked off the Annual Payroll Campaign where associates came together to donate to the United Way.
“We all have a role to play and every donation counts,” said Tony Gagliardi, Chair of Niagara Casinos’ United Way Committee. “We are fortunate to have a team of great people that genuinely care about those in need and continue to get involved and make a difference in our neighbourhood.”
