(Niagara Falls, ON) July 14, 2016 – The results are in. Fallsview Casino joins a select group of establishments within North America in receiving the coveted Four Diamond award rating by the Canadian/American Automobile Association (CAA/AAA), one of the country’s most respected authorities on travel and hospitality.
Fallsview Casino’s luxury Hotel earned its 12th consecutive Four-Diamond distinction while the casino’s two signature restaurants, 21 Club and Ponte Vecchio, achieved Four-Diamond honours for the 11th and 7th time, respectively, along with the Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence for 2016.
Less than six percent of the nearly 28,000 hotels approved by CAA/AAA make the Four Diamond list and only two percent of the nearly 30,000 restaurants approved by CAA/AAA receive the honour.

For 80 years, CAA/AAA has used professional inspectors to conduct in-person property inspections. It offers the only rating system using comprehensive, on-site professional hotel and restaurant evaluations guided by member priorities.

According to CAA/AAA, Four-Diamond accommodations are “are committed to providing every guest with a personalized experience and attentive service in comfortable, high-quality surroundings. They typically offer an extensive array of amenities and guest services”. Restaurants at this level “offer a distinctive fine-dining experience and attentive service. Menu offerings are typically distinguished by highly creative chefs using top-quality ingredients”.

The Wine Spectator, which is the world’s leading authority on wine and highly regarded among wine connoisseurs, evaluates wine lists for one of three awards. The Best of Award of Excellence gives special recognition to distinguished restaurants with an impressive wine list that typically offer 350 or more quality selections with significant vintage depth or superior breadth in one or more major wine regions.
