(Niagara Falls, ON) April 11, 2024 – International rock icons Crowded House will be performing their decades-spanning hits on September 8 at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino as part of their Gravity Stairs Tour.
One of Australia’s finest exports, Crowded House formed in 1985 around the songwriting talents of Neil Finn. With over four decades of history, thirty-four singles and ten million album sales to their name, the story of Crowded House is one of dreams truly coming true. Along with the likes of AC/DC, Nick Cave and Tame Impala, they have come from a land down under and conquered the world.
Crowded House’s mid-Eighties hits like “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong”, combined with albums like Woodface and Together Alone, set the standard for the period’s erudite jangle-pop while always pushing the band’s art forward. In November 2016, the band was inducted into the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Hall of Fame.
Their creative spirit brings Finn and his Crowded House bandmates to Gravity Stairs, their first new release since 2021’s Dreamers Are Waiting and eighth overall. The album is set to debut on May 31, and on February 8, the first song released from their upcoming album was “Oh Hi”.
“Their sound is flawless and the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino is a great venue to host rock powerhouse Crowded House,” says Cathy Price, Vice President of Marketing at Niagara Casinos. “It will be a perfect night for guests to experience the band’s legendary hits”.
