(Niagara Falls, ON) April 3, 2023 – Incubus rose to popularity as one of the premiere alt-rock bands of the new millennium with their tireless touring ethic and a unique musical genre. Now see them perform live alongside Badflower at the OLG Stage at Fallsview on August 6.
“We are thrilled to have Incubus perform on the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino this summer”, says Cathy Price, Vice President Marketing, Niagara Casinos. “Few bands have succeeded in incorporating different genres and styles into their music. Incubus has done all of that and more and they continue to carve out their own path in the music industry”.
Since their formation in 1991, Incubus has received influences from bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, and Deftones. They are known for rocking a dynamic blend of heavy metal, funk, jazz, hip-hop, techno, grunge, and alt-rock, which had resulted in the success of their 1999 multi-platinum album, Make Yourself. Their recent album 8, reached number four on the Billboard Top 200, marking their fifth consecutive Top 5 debut on the respective chart.
The band continues to maintain their streaming phenomenon status, averaging 4.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, clocking over one billion-plus streams. To date, they have sold over 23 million albums worldwide.
Joining Incubus will be the rock band Badflower, who have been praised for their hard-hitting, melodic songs. They consist of singer/guitarist Josh Katz, guitarist Joey Morrow, bassist Alex Espiritu, and drummer Anthony Sonetti, and their tendency to address human vulnerability makes them a powerful example of how hard rock has evolved in the 21st century. In 2018, the band’s hit single Ghost reached No. 11 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart and was RIAA Gold certified. The band’s recent album This Is How The World Ends ranked 38th on the best rock/metal albums of 2021 list.
“You should get your tickets early for this show. This performance is going to rock!”, says Price.
